Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their client's amazing team in California. Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization serving the community throughout Santa Clara County, is seeking an HR professional who excels in employee relations, investigations, compliance, and employment law. This is a supervisory position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop the HR function while serving as a strategic partner to organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the Human Resources function and team.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices.
  • Lead workplace investigations from intake through resolution, including employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and complex personnel issues.
  • Partner with leadership and legal counsel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Handle unemployment claims, appeals, hearings, and other employment-related matters.
  • Provide guidance on sensitive employee relations situations with a strong understanding of California employment law.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations, reporting requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Support talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, employee engagement, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Review and interpret employment laws and regulations to provide accurate, compliant guidance to leadership and staff.
  • Utilize HR metrics and data to identify trends and make strategic recommendations.

Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 1st shift

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this supervisory position is $115,000 per year. Additional benefits are available and can be discussed during the interview process.
